No. If you’d rather not subscribe, you can buy lifetime access to a range of tutorials in my Collections.

Do I need specific pencils?

Each tutorial lists the materials and exact colours I use. I draw with Prismacolor and Polychromos coloured pencils.

Do I need to be able to draw already?

No. Each tutorial goes one section at a time, starting from the reference photo and sketch outline, so you can follow along from your first drawing.

What’s the difference between monthly and annual memberships?

With a monthly membership, you pay each month and can cancel whenever you like. With an annual membership, you get 12 months of access for the price of 10, so it works out as two months free. It’s a good choice if you know you’ll be drawing for a while, and it means you won’t have to think about payments for the whole year.

Can I cancel my membership whenever I want?

Yes, you can cancel at any time from the My Account section of the website, there are no hidden fees or minimum terms. Your access carries on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and no further payments will be taken after that. You’re always welcome to restart later.

What’s included in each tutorial?

Each tutorial is split into chapters, with narrated lessons explaining what I’m doing and why, and matching real-time footage so you can see every pencil stroke. You also get the full list of materials, the exact colours I use, my reference photo, and a light sketch outline to print and a heavier one to trace.

Is the website available in my country?

My website memberships are available in the UK, EU, USA, Australia and New Zealand. I’m a complete beginner. Which membership should I choose?

Draw with Me is the best fit for most beginners. It has a large library with plenty of beginner-friendly drawings, and I add at least one new tutorial every month, so there’s always something to work through as your confidence grows. Just the Basics is a smaller membership with 10 tutorials, most of them at beginner level. I don’t add new tutorials to it, so it works well if you’d like to try my teaching style first. Draw with Me Plus includes every tutorial, plus at least two new ones every month. If you already know you’ll be drawing regularly, it’s the one that gives you the most to work with.

Can I sell artwork I've made from your tutorials?

Yes, any drawing you create from my tutorials is completely yours to do with as you like, including selling it. I always try to use royalty free reference photos, so there are no issues with that either.

Do the tutorials have subtitles?

Yes. All tutorials are hosted on YouTube, which automatically generates subtitles. To turn them on, click the subtitles button in the YouTube player and select your preferred language. To watch on YouTube directly, click the Watch on YouTube button within the tutorial player.

The tutorials are SO doable! They are spilt nicely into sections with an initial briefing session and then a silent real time video. I love love love them. I did an advanced one (the ice cream sundae) and was so pleased with it.
